MODULO MADRE (Mother Module) is the main matrix into which the various sensory pods can be rooted in and uprooted from.

The main platform is made of "piedra ostionera" a local shellstone that is naturally found in the coasts of Cádiz. In order to promote the local market I worked along a local manufacturer, who obtained and cut the material to the size and shape I designed. The dimensions of the pill shaped module are 420x190mm, giving GADIR its portable characteristics.

 

The design of the attachment system is inspired in female breasts, representing motherhood.

The stone platform is mobile itself so that it can be dettached from the auxiliary legs and placed on to any flat surface.

 

The auxiliary legs are made of recycled metal rods.
